History & brand DNA
Casio Computer Co. was founded in 1946 in Tokyo by Tadao Kashio. After calculators, Casio entered the watch industry in 1974 with its first digital watch, the Casiotron. In 1983, G-Shock was born. In 1991, Casio developed solar technology for watches. In 2001, the Wristcam integrated a camera into a watch. Today, Casio operates five main collections: G-Shock, Baby-G, Edifice, Pro Trek and the standard range.
Iconic models
By collection: Edifice (men's sports chronographs, Bluetooth, Solar, EQB series), Pro Trek (outdoor solar, triple sensor, PRG series), Baby-G (G-Shock toughness in coloured version, feminine), A168 Series (the vintage gold reissue since 1975, an accessible must-have), A700 (premium stainless steel version of the A168).
