Is a silver men's watch made of solid silver?

No: the cases are made of polished 316L stainless steel, which looks identical to polished silver. Solid 925 silver is too soft for watchmaking: it scratches, becomes dull and tarnishes with use. Steel provides the same cold lustre with far superior hardness, no oxidation and virtually no maintenance.
