The green women's watch: everything comes down to the dial
On this page, a green women's watch is a watch with a green dial. The case and strap, on the other hand, are most often gold, silver or rose gold: this contrast is what gives the colour its elegance, more understated than it might seem. A watch that is entirely green, strap included, remains a minority: roughly one in eight. The selection brings together Guess, Michael Kors, Daniel Wellington, Vivienne Westwood, Lacoste, Swarovski, Fossil, Tommy Hilfiger, Just Cavalli and Versace, all new and covered by a 2-year warranty.
What sets a green-dial women's watch apart, measured across our catalogue
We compared our green-dial watches with our full range of women's watches. The first difference: gold. It covers the case of nearly four green watches in ten, twice as often as on our other women's watches, while silver cases become three times rarer. Green therefore pairs first with gold. The second difference: the shape. The rectangular dial is almost three times more common here, on roughly one watch in six, compared with one in sixteen elsewhere.
The size is also slimmer: a median diameter of 33 mm, compared with 36 mm across our women's watches, with the same 8 mm thickness and a 16 mm strap width instead of 17. Finally, the date is discreet: one green watch in eight displays it, half as often as the others. The green dial aims to be clean and lets the colour speak for itself.
Gold, rose gold, steel or leather: choosing the right strap
The gold strap dominates, on four green watches in ten: it is the warmest combination, the one that recalls gold jewellery. Rose gold softens the green, silver steel makes it feel fresher and more graphic, and two-tone mixes the two. Leather, found on roughly one watch in seven, gives a more natural tone, ideal with linen or knitwear. Our page montre bracelet cuir femme gathers more of them. If you want a gold look from start to finish, our montre or femme selection widens the choice to all dial colours.
Wearing a green women's watch every day
Green is more of a neutral than many people think. A green women's watch goes with beige, white, camel, navy and black, and comes into its own with warm tones. It can be worn by day or by night, especially on a gold strap. For water, be careful: about half of the selection is water-resistant to 3 ATM, enough for rain and washing your hands; four in ten reach 5 ATM, suitable for an occasional shower but not for swimming pools; only a small minority go up to 10 ATM, the rating that allows swimming. In all cases, keep the crown pushed in and avoid saunas.
