Daniel Wellington was founded in 2011 in Stockholm by Filip Tysander. The brand is not a century-old house, it was born from a revolutionary Instagram marketing strategy: sending free watches to influencers and offering promo codes. Within a few years, DW became one of the most photographed watches on social media. The DNA: absolute Scandinavian minimalism, interchangeable NATO straps in fabric or leather, dials without numerals.

DW authentication points: the crystal is sapphire on all Classic collections since 2018, check the mention on the box. NATO straps are interchangeable via a standard spring bar system (lug width 18 or 20 mm), the brand's real added value. On authentic pieces, the case back bears the reference, series number and country of assembly. The movements are Miyota quartz (Citizen), reliable and easy to service.
