History & brand DNA

Giorgio Armani founded his house in 1975, then launched Emporio Armani in 1981, a younger line whose first boutique opened in Milan. Its emblem, a stylised eagle with striated wings bearing the initials GA, decorates the brand's dials. The watch line began in 1997, the year the Armani group partnered with Fossil Group: since then, Fossil Group has designed and distributed Emporio Armani watches under licence, as it does for Armani Exchange. This licence currently runs until the end of 2027. The style remains that of the house: clean lines, legible dials, and steel, ceramic and leather.

Iconic models

In our sales, one shape stands out: the rectangular Classic with large Roman numerals sells faster than any other, in men's (AR0154, brown croc-effect leather) and women's (AR0146, steel bracelet), although it remains scarce in our stock. On the men's side, the Luigi line sells best, with the all-black AR11349 chronograph, one of our most requested models, and skeleton-dial automatics. White Ceramica models sell far faster than black ones. For women, the small Gianni T-Bar, attached to the strap by a T-bar, forms the heart of the selection, in steel, two-tone or rose gold.

What we check before dispatch

Our men's Emporio Armani watches mostly range from 41 to 46 mm, with 43 mm the most common; yet the 41 and 42 mm sizes sell best, discreet under a shirt cuff. Women's models tend to sit around 32 mm, with 28 mm Gianni models for slender wrists. Almost all run on quartz; the Meccanico and some Luigi are automatic, with an open dial revealing the movement. Our listings state 5 ATM for most men's models (rain, handwashing, occasional surface swimming) and 3 ATM for the majority of women's models (splashes only). To spot a genuine piece: the eagle on the dial is crisp, the wings are evenly striated and the GA initials are legible; the EMPORIO ARMANI line is straight and centred; on a chronograph, every subdial works; and the caseback bears the model's AR reference engraved in a circle, which must match our listing.
