History & brand DNA
René Lacoste, a tennis champion nicknamed 'the Crocodile' by the American press, founded the brand in 1933. The crocodile embroidered on the white polo shirt became one of the world's most recognised logos. The Lacoste watch line was developed in the 2000s, in keeping with the house's sport-chic DNA. The watches are manufactured by Movado Group (official licence) with designs combining lightness, colour and sporting spirit.

Features to check: the crocodile on the dial must be sharp, embossed on premium models. TR90 cases (high-resistance plastic) must be free from cracks, this is the weak point of this material in case of impact. Verify the stated water resistance: Goa models are 10 ATM minimum. Lacoste silicone straps are treated with odour-resistant technology, on new outlet pieces, this treatment is intact.
