Our Lotus expertise

History & brand DNA

Lotus was founded in 1980 in Barcelona as a sister brand to Festina within the Festina-Lotus group. The strategy is straightforward: adopt Festina's core principles (quality, reliability, warranty) with an even more accessible positioning and a Southern European target market (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France). Manufacturing follows the same model as Festina: Spanish design, Asian assembly under the group's quality control. Lotus is now present in over 60 countries.

Iconic models

The Lotus range is organised into four families: Lotus Trendy women's watches (coloured dials, leather or stainless steel straps, compact 30-34 mm format) which dominate in volume; classic Lotus men's watches (stainless steel or black leather strap, clean dial, 40-42 mm) for everyday wear; sports chronographs (multifunctional, stainless steel strap) which draw from Festina; and Smart Watch and Marc ranges, newer collections with multifunctional features. Lotus does not offer skeleton automatics unlike Festina.

What we check before dispatch

On an authentic Lotus watch: the 'Lotus' signature on the dial uses a characteristic italic typeface. The screw-down case back bears the reference L plus 5 digits and the mention 'Stainless Steel, Water Resistant'. The crown is marked with the Lotus logo. On stainless steel bracelets, the deployant clasp must engage firmly. On chronographs, all three pushers must function and the subdials must reset to zero after a reset. Lotus shares workshops with Festina, so manufacturing standards are equivalent.

Why buy at outlet prices?

Lotus outlet ranges between 50 and 150 EUR (versus 90-250 EUR in boutiques). It is the most affordable choice among recognised European brands. Particularly suited for: a first branded watch purchase, a gift for a teenager or young adult, or for those seeking Festina-Lotus quality in an even more accessible segment. Excellent value for money.

Frequently asked questions: Lotus

+Are Lotus and Festina the same thing?
Not quite. Both brands belong to the Festina-Lotus group and share workshops, but they have distinct collections and different price positioning: Lotus is 20 to 40% cheaper than Festina for comparable specifications. Festina offers skeleton automatics that Lotus does not.
+Does Lotus offer automatic watches?
Very rarely and only occasionally. Almost the entire Lotus catalogue features Japanese quartz movement (Miyota). For automatic watches in this family, consider Festina (Skeleton Automatic) which offers models from 150-200 EUR.
+What is the Lotus warranty?
International manufacturer 2-year warranty, applicable through the Festina-Lotus group's after-sales service in Spain or through our after-sales service. All watches sold at Montres Outlet are authentic with original packaging and warranty documentation.
+Is Lotus suitable as a gift?
Yes, it is an excellent choice for a first-time gift: a brand recognised across Southern Europe, careful packaging, an extensive range covering all profiles (young, classic, sport), and contained budget. Particularly well-suited for gifts for teenagers or young adults discovering branded watchmaking.
