Maserati Watches

Maserati watches are manufactured and distributed under worldwide licence by the Italian group Morellato. The car company, founded in Bologna in 1914, today belongs to the Stellantis group. Most of our models are quartz, and some are automatic.

Most of our Maserati watches are water resistant to 100 metres (10 ATM), a rating often printed on the dial (WATER RESISTANT 100 METERS). This covers swimming and bathing, but not diving. The exact rating of each model is listed on its product page. In all cases, avoid hot showers and saunas, and never operate the crown or pushers underwater.

Start with your wrist size. The 42 mm (Potenza, Epoca, some Competizione) is the diameter that sells fastest with us. The 43 and 44 mm (Competizione, Sfida, Successo) bridge the gap, the Traguardo and Stile step up to 45 mm, and the Sfida is also available in 40 mm for slimmer wrists. On the women's side, the Epoca is 34 mm.

After the letters R88, the first digit indicates the movement (2 for an automatic, 5 for a quartz without chronograph, three-hand or multifunction, 7 for a chronograph), the next digit indicates the strap (1 for leather or silicone, 3 for metal), and the three digits after that indicate the line (612 or 112 for the Traguardo, 108 for the Potenza, 640 or 140 for the Sfida, 600 or 100 for the Competizione, 618 or 118 for the Epoca). So an R8823140011 is a Sfida automatic on a steel bracelet. On our product pages, this rule holds true almost every time.

Quartz, the majority with us, is accurate and only needs a battery change. An automatic is wound by the movement of your wrist, and almost all of ours reveal their mechanism through a skeleton dial, on the Potenza, Epoca or Sfida. If worn infrequently, an automatic will stop: reset it or have it wound by a watch winder.
