The gold Casio women's watch, a matter of finish
On this page, the gold Casio women's watch is defined by its colour: a case, a strap or a dial in gold tone, and most often all three at once. This finish is what sets it apart from the rest of our Casio women's watches, far more than the movement or the size. A gold Casio women's watch refers to a colour, not a precious metal: the strap is in stainless steel on the vast majority of models, and the gold is the tint. All our Casio watches are new and come with a 2-year warranty.
What sets a gold Casio apart, measured across our catalogue
We compared these models with all our Casio women's watches. The gold strap is found on more than eight watches in ten, compared with roughly one in three across the rest of the range. The gold dial takes the effect further: more than one watch in three features it, compared with one in seven elsewhere, for a gold look from clasp to dial. The Casio Vintage line accounts for more than eight models in ten, compared with six in ten across the whole range: it is what popularised this retro gold finish, and our Casio vintage women's watch page presents all of its colours.
Two differences are less visible. The acrylic crystal is more than twice as common here: roughly one watch in three, compared with one in ten across the range. It scratches more easily than a mineral crystal, but it can be polished back. And water calls for more caution: one gold Casio in four is not labelled water-resistant, compared with fewer than one in ten of the others. The size, however, does not change: 35 mm median diameter, 8 mm thick, and a square or rectangular case in nearly nine cases out of ten.
Digital or hands: what the gold conceals
Almost all are digital: around nine in ten show the time on a screen, much like retro Casio models. A minority are analogue-digital, with hands and a small screen on the same dial. The date is present across the entire selection, and a little more than one watch in three offers a stopwatch, slightly less often than the rest of the range, where it is the case for one in two. The movement is quartz throughout: no winding, and a battery that lasts several years. Most close with a clip clasp, the others with a deployant clasp or a pin buckle.
Wearing a gold Casio women's watch
A gold Casio women's watch is worn like a piece of jewellery: alone on the wrist for a clean effect, or layered with gold bangles and chains for a stacked look. With its small square case, a gold Casio women's watch slips easily under a shirt cuff and goes as well with jeans as with a little black dress. It is often the gold strap that makes the impact: it takes up more space on the wrist than the dial itself. For a more dressy gold option, with hands and from other brands, see our gold women's watch selection.
Gold needs a few simple habits. Put your watch on after perfume, cream or hand sanitiser gel, which can dull shiny surfaces. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, without abrasive products or silver polish. Store it separately, away from jewellery that could scratch it.
