We compared these models with all of our Diesel men's watches. The gold dial accompanies the metal in six cases out of ten, compared with fewer than one in ten for the rest of the brand: the watch becomes monochrome, gold from start to finish. The steel strap is found on nearly nine watches out of ten, compared with just over one in two elsewhere, and leather recedes noticeably, to one watch in eight.

Two differences concern use. The chronograph is less frequent: one gold watch in eight, compared with more than one in five for other Diesel models. And none reaches 10 ATM, whereas one Diesel in six does in the rest of the range. The size, however, remains typical of the brand: 50 mm median diameter, 13 mm thickness and a 26 mm strap. A gold Diesel watch is therefore just as large as the others, and wears like a statement piece.

One quarter of the selection belongs to the Mr Daddy line, more heavily represented here than across the rest of the brand.
