Marc Jacobs launched his house in New York in 1984 and became one of the most influential designers in American fashion during the 2000s, notably through his role as Creative Director of Louis Vuitton (1997-2014). The Marc Jacobs brand targets a female clientele aged 20-40 who love the chic-casual New York mix. The watch line is produced under Fossil Group licence (the same licence as Michael Kors and Emporio Armani), with a design approach that favours subtlety over visible logos.

The case back bears the reference MBM or MJ plus number with deep engraving. On rose gold models, the plating must be uniform with no areas turning orange (sign of oxidation or poor quality). The crown carries the MJ logo. On woven leather straps (Riley), check the regularity of the weave and the quality of the clasp welds.
