History & brand DNA
Diesel was founded in 1978 in Molvena, Italy by Renzo Rosso. The denim brand became a major player in ready-to-wear fashion during the 1990s. The Diesel watch line was launched in 1997, produced in partnership with Fossil Group under an official licence. Diesel's watchmaking DNA: imposing cases (44-57 mm), industrial and urban design, 'For Successful Living' philosophy. Diesel is today owned by Renzo Rosso's OTB group (Only The Brave).
Iconic models

Diesel authentication checkpoints: stainless steel cases must display clearly separated brushed and polished finishes. 'Diesel' logos on dial and crown must be sharp and well-defined. Models with carbon fibre decoration: verify that the pattern is uniform (regular diamond-weave texture). Mega Chief domed crystals are mineral glass with treatment, so be cautious of models with cracked glass not mentioned in the description.
